Published three times a year, Unidos en Cristo/United in Christ contains daily Mass propers and complete readings for every Sunday and holy day. Spanish and English are presented side-by-side on facing pages, with antiphons and prayers found in their specific moment of the liturgy. Responsorial Psalms are drawn from the hugely popular Responde y Acclama.
The missal pairs with Unidos en Cristo Recurso Musical/United in Christ Music Resource, which is released every three years and has been greatly expanded: the 2024-2026 edition offers more than 820 Spanish, English and bilingual songs. Learn about the lectionary texts used in this Spanish-language missal
Since 2003, following a directive from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), OCP’s Spanish and bilingual missals have used the readings from the Mexican lectionary, and the psalms and Gospel Acclamations from Spain found in the Leccionario: Edición Hispanoamericana. Our current understanding from the USCCB is that in 5 to 10 years there will be a Spanish-language lectionary for the United States. Until then, we will continue to follow the directives of the USCCB. Read more information about the lectionary texts used in this Spanish-language missal.
